How to Detox Part 3: Colon Cleanse

Happy New Year folks, hope you all had a great Christmas. Don’t worry if you had too good a time! Like me you can quickly undo the damage with these great detox techniques. I started off with the castor oil packs, skin brushing  and hot and cold showers (see previous posts) we covered recently, got my diet back on track, then I did this great herbal colon cleanse.

Even if you are doing the right things with your diet, your colon can still be full of toxic material that has been there for ages! This stops your colon from having the right bacteria, impedes absorption and can lead to you creating your own home-grown toxins.

Keith’s Tip: You can try this cleanse for yourself if you have a healthy digestive system, but please seek advice if you have a sensitive colon

The ICF Formulas

Simple guide to using the Intestinal Cleansing Formulas (ICF).
This detox starts with herbal laxative capsules that clear the colon. It comes in two strengths: ICF1 and ICF2. Try the mild one first and see how you get on. Basically you want it to create two or three bowel movements in a day.

If 3 or 4 of the ICF1 capsules are having  no effect try an ICF2 capsule. This is the powerful one! Start with one only,  it’s guaranteed to work. Sometimes though, you may need 2 or 3 capsules to create more than one movement a day.

Keith’s Tip: Do not take these formulas if you are, or trying to become pregnant.

Find the right dose of the laxative tablets

Using the Colon Cleanse Powder ICF3
Once you have found the right dose, continue for 2 days to clear the intestines, then start on ICF3. This is a powder which cleanses and detoxes the colon, it has charcoal which neutralises poisons, Bentonite  clay which absorbs heavy metals and actually pulls things off the colon wall, and Psyllium Seed which scrapes it all clean. Take 2 tsps twice a day dissolved in lots of juice. It doesn’t taste too great so hold your nose and just swallow. Continue this for 3 more days then finish with one day of the laxative formula only.

Keith’s Tip: Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking the ICF3 powder as the formula absorbs lots of water

Mix the powder with some nice juice

The laxative powder works really well, sometimes too well! You need to time when you take it, so you can ensure you are near a loo when they start working!

Basically once the countdown starts you literally have about 5-10 minutes! I normally take them last thing at night so that they start working first thing in the morning. Generally it takes about 5 to 8 hours to work, so try to avoid times where you can’t get to a toilet easily. One day I miss-timed it, and I was on the bus!

Suddenly the laxative capsules take effect

Luckily I was near the end of my journey

Not far now!

Made it, or did I?

After doing this it’s great to do an enema or colonic hydrotherapy as a sort of final rinse. The herbal formulas make these treatments much more effective.

  1. Doing a colon cleanse is not something a lot of people want to talk about, but it has some real health benefits. You can lose weight, make your stomach look flatter, and get rid of toxins that are trapped in your body.

And you can do it in the privacy and comfort of your own home. There are a handful of recipes you can get to make cleansing drinks from normal ingredients you\\\’ll find at the grocery store. You\\\’ll feel so much better after you\\\’ll be glad you did it.

  23. 1 green apple 1 detox juicing beet 3 carrots, beetroots and apples,
then you will have in years: less headaches, tiredness, lethargy,
mewntal and physical energy. Smoothie and juice bars have popped
up all these years of age. It then developed into a blender,
    unless you have just recently.

  24. Hi Keith, I was wondering where I can get the ICF formulas pills, could you please tell me where you buy yours? I was also wondering, do you eat your normal diet or a special diet during the cleanse? Thank you!

    • Dear Carolina,
I get mine from Anne at Lifeherbs https://www.lifeherbs.co.uk/ . She can send the herbs and give you more advice. Or search for ‘Intestinal Corrective Formula’ on the internet. Just follow a diet that supports the detox process. Ideally no animal products lots of fresh vegetables and wholefoods. Vegetable juices and herb teas instead of tea and coffee and keep hydrated.
      Thanks Keith
